Things im working on Thursday

As the weather has been turning colder my crafts have switched to cold weather musts! I have made a lot of warm hats including a special one for DH- he was pretty excited!

Also lots of pairs of warm longies! I am working on 4 pairs right now... I know, if I worked on 1 at a time I could finish them, but having 2 crocheted and 2 knit projects means when I loose my crochet hook (like when DH finds it in his backpack LOL) or when I run out of yarn, then I can go onto another project! hehe. Pix of those when they are finished!

I have also been making lots of sets of warm jammies! I have a few more to make and a bunch for CHristmas, but I am waiting until the big $2 flannel sale on black Friday- which I am going to have to brave myself this year because DH has to work! :(

ALso how could I forget Minnie's costume! I just think she looks SOOO cute in it! Her most favorate things to do right now is the "hot dog dance" (if you have seen Micky Mouse CLub house you know what I mean! ) It is SOOOO funny!

Iraqi Bundles of Love

I tried to get this things im working on Thursday done yesterday, but I was busy finishing birthday gifts and making 50 baked potatoes for a vet club meeting.... So anyway- I am doing things a bit different today. I found out last week about this amazing project called Iraqi Bundles Of Love The idea behind the project is that the people of Iraq are so poor and have so little, and we are so wealthy by their standards and have so much, that we can all give a little bit. But this isnt a project about just giving random things, this project is for giving sewing, knitting, crafting and creative supplies to these people who have SO little! I know that I personally have more of these supplies than I will ever use. I have decided that this is the perfect project for me! All you have to do is to visit the IBOL web site and read up on what you should do, from picking a flat rate box, to building a bundle, and where to send the box! You can join the facebook page here. I wish I had my camera to show you my fun box! The only BAD thing about this is the fact that I am late getting the info out to you, and the deadline is on Tuesday for mailing these out! So, to make up for my boo boo, I have decided to put up a couple of special listings on my Etsy shop that will be a listing for a bundle and the shipping cost. $25 will buy you a bundle that I will pack for you, and send off in your name! Really, that is a GREAT deal! The bundle you buy will include 10 yards of fabric, a pair of scissors, a package of needles, a large spool of thread, a box of pins with a pin cussion and a pair of knitting needles with a skeen of yarn! I promise that not a cent of this money will go to me. In fact it will cost me more than $25 per box, so really it is just giving me an excuse to go all out! lol. so PLEASE! Things in working on Thursday!

It has been a while since I have posted one of these, but not because I havnt been working on anything :)! I have made a BUNCH of fun skirts, shirts and much much more- so please go check out my Etsy site to see some of them! (ohbabyboutique.etsy.com)

I have been knitting a pair of longies, a muno doll, a fairy doll and some fetchings......

I have been peiceing and quilting 2 quilts with my friend for a family who lost their child and almost lost their mother. (we did 2 of the 8 quilts for the kids).

I also made some super fun birthday hats! More to come after I do some homework.... But the baby LOVES them- has since the day I made the first one! Wont wear a regular hat but she is OBSESSED with these ones! Who can blame her?

Things im working on Thursday

Well this week has been so busy that I really havnt gotten a chance to work on much of anything! I DID get my sewing room cleaned up though, and that was a HUGE task! hehehe- it helps that we will be away from home for a while and I dont want to come back to a disaster, but let just say that when DH help, sometimes it takes me a month just to find the things that "I know exactly where that is"! hehe

Well, I did pull out some knitting and finished off a skeen of yarn on a pair of longies for a friend and also worked on some cupcakes I have been making for months..... AND I started a darling little fairy doll I am making for DD and my niece!

I also made 10 swim diapers this week! WAHOO GO ME! hehehehehe- other than that, I need to kick it into gear! Hope you all have a great 4th and a great weekend!
