A kitchen staple in a house with a toddler

You have all seen those pricy pasta pick ups and bottles of diced up fruits and veggies they try to sell at the store for over $1 a serving.... Well here is my solution!

For about 50 cents each, you can get a whole can of veggies or fruit that will last you at least 3-4 days! And the best part about it, you dont even have to cut it up! Seriosly, all you have to do is open the can, pop it in the microwave for like 10 seconds and you are set! My little one loves the fruit more than the veggies (go figure, she usually only gets fruit 2-3 times a week) but she will happily chow down on both! So go out and invest in some to keep in your cupboards- its a great way to get your baby excited about eating veggies!

  1. Good idea. I never thought of that. My grandson should be eating soon and we will be doing this instead of paying for a small jar.

  2. I have been doing the same thing. Once you compare the prices, you start wondering how Gerber stays in business!

  3. I learned that lesson also. My pediatrician once told me there is no difference between "packaged" baby food and the canned stuff we would use. So I have never bought packaged baby food. Good Advice.

  4. We do this, in fact we try to find the no salt veggies because the little ones don't need the extra sodium. :) AND I see you got the no added sugar... we are down... some have splenda in them instead but I avoid fake sugar!!!

    good info
